Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a phenolic resin molding material capable of suppressing heating in moldings during extrusion, having a high fluidity during molding, and suitable for the molding of electrical appliances, household goods, etc., by adding cetyl palmitate as a releasing agent to a phenolic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A phenolic resin (A) (e.g., a mixture of resol or Novolak type phenol resin and a curuing agent) is mixed with cetyl palmitate (B), together with, as needed, a filler (C) (e.g., wood chips or CaCO3), and a colorant (D) (e.g., carbon black or iron oxide), and then the mixture is well mixed and ground to obtain a phenolic resin molding material. The preferred amount of the component (B) to be added is 0.5W2wt% on the basis of the total weight of all the components.
