Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously produce good composite powder, by continuously circulating the slurry containing the core powder to be plated and plating metallic ion in the cathode chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Electroplating tank 1 is divided into anode chamber 4 and cathode chamber 6 with diaphragm 3. An electrically conductive liquid is circulated in anode chamber 4 and the slurry containing core powder to be plated is flowed in cathode chamber 6, and then, a gas is blown into chamber 6 for making the electrodeposition operation. That is to say, the slurry containing core powder to be plated and plating metallic ion is produced in stirring tank 8 and supplied to plating tank 1 from the bottom, and, at the same time, a gas is blown into the tank from the bottom to stirr the slurry. The plated core powder overflows from the upper edge of cathode chamber 6, and a part of the core powder is recovered and separated into the filtrate and the produced composite powder. The remaining part of overflowed core powder and the filtrate are stirred in stirring tank 8 together with newly supplied slurry whose amount is corresponding to the consumed amount of core powder and metallic ion contained in the recovered composite powder, and then, supplied to cathode chamber 6 again.
