Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Organosilicon compounds with recurring structural units of formula I (m is 1W10) and their salts.
EXAMPLE: threo-Disodium salt of poly(α,β-dicarboxy-β-hydroxy-ethylaminopropyl) silsesquioxane.
USE: Carcinostatic agent: they are low-toxicity and permit oral, parenteral and local administration. The dose is preferably 500W10mg/kg/day.
PREPARATION: A poly(aminoalkyl)silsesquioxane with recurring structural units of formula II is made to react with epoxysuccinic acid or its salt to give a compound with the recurring structural units of formula I or its salt. The reaction temperature is preferably 40W175°C.
