In that case, a change of the speaker channel never occurs until a voice sample larger than the present data within the register HLDR is supplied at the channels other the the speaker channel that is once held. Then the register HLDR is cleared by the output of a timing generating circuit TIM and with a comparatively large cycle to give an initialization to a series of comparing actions. Thus a counter circuit and the like are eliminated.
