Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure a location of an edge accurately by a method wherein a rotatory polyhedral mirror is mounted at a location of the focus of a parabolic mirror, the luminous energy of a metallic beltlike body is scanned, and converted into electric signals by means of an infrared sensor, and the signals are detected and measured by means of a signal processor.
CONSTITUTION: A parabolic mirror 2 is installed to the upper or lower section of a metallic beltlike body 1 while a rotatory polyhedral mirror 3 is set up at a location of the focus thereof. The luminous energy of the metallic beltlike body 1 is inputted to an infrared sensor 4 through the parabolic mirror 2 and a rotatory polyhedral mirror 3, and value is converted into electric signals and the location of an edge of the metallic beltlike body 1 is detected and measured by means of a signal processor 6 by the reference signals of a reference location detector 5 separately installed. An error is not formed by the upper and lower motions of the metallic beltlike body 1 in light-energy signals which the polyhedral mirror 3 scans because the rotary polyhedral mirror 3 is positioned at the location of the focus of the parabolic mirror 2 at that time. Thus, the location of the edge can be measured in high accuracy.
