Abstract
PURPOSE:To switch a load with a minimum base current of demand by using a transistor for switching the load with the collector connected to the load and by holding the collector-emitter voltage constant without reference to the magnitude of a flowing load current. CONSTITUTION:When load controlling signal S turning on transistor TR1 is applied to TR1, a base current flows from base power source V1 to TR2 via resistance R1 and its collector and emitter, and then TR2 turns on to flow part of the current to the base of TR3 via resistance R6. If a load overcurrent flows through the circuit, the collector-emitter voltage is kept constant without reference to the magnitude of the load current. Thus, switching TR3 switches the load with the minimum base current of demand without influences of the variance in current amplification factor of TR3 and the magnitude of the load current.
