Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the thermosensitive recording material which has an improved filming property and is insolubilized with a less heat energy, by a method wherein copolymer, which is obtained by grafting a polymerizing monomer into a heat- coagulating protein, is used as the thermosensitive component. CONSTITUTION:The grafted copolymer, which is obtained by grafting about 30 pts.wt. or less of a monomer (b), such as (meta) acrylic acid ester monomer, an acryl nitrile monomer and the like, into 1pt.wt. of a heat-coagulating protein (a), such as a albumin, albumen, soyabean protein and the like, is used as the thermosensitive component. That is, solution (dispersed liquid) of the aforesaid grafted copolymer is applied on a support substance, such as polyester films, metallic sheets and the like, for drying to form the thermosensitive recording layer, and thus, the recording material is obtained.
