Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the irregularity and instability of electrode potential, by taking the mixture of calcogen copper and solid-state electrolyte as the material for an operating electrode, and using a metal selected from the same group for collection electrodes implanted in the operating, opposing and reference electrodes. CONSTITUTION:In the solid-state electrochemical element used for a memory element and a timer and the like, the operating electrode 2 in which the mixture of calcogen copper like Cu2S and solid-state electrolyte 5:5 in weight ratio is uniformly scattered and pressed incorporatedly, and the opposing electrode 3 in which the mixture of Cu2S and solid-state electrolyte 9:1 in weight ratio is press-molded, are opposed via the copper ion solid-state electrolyte layer 1, and the reference electrode 5 detecting the potential of the operating electrode 2 is formed on the operating electrode 2 via the solid-state electrolyte 4. As the collecting electrodes 10, 11, 6 of the electrodes 2, 3, 5, noble metals such as Au, Pt and Pd and the metal (such as Cu) plated with the said noble metals are implanted. Thus, the potential of the electrodes 2, 3, 5 of the element is made stable against temperature change. Then, the element with high reliability is obtained.
