Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit processing in a short processing time when the next instruction is invalidated by a skip instruction by advancing at the stroke bytes by a number of bytes in the next one machine cycle of the skip instruction when skip conditions hold. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that a skip instruction is read out in an instruction register 2. This is decoded by an instruction recorder and sets the logic level of a skip instruction assignment line 7 to ''1''. Further, the part assigning the skip conditions is supplied to a skip condition select circuit 8, by which the condition signal assigned out of skip condition signals 9 is selected. The condition signal is combined with the signal of the skip instruction assignment line 7 by using an AND circuit 10 and is applied to a flip-flop 11. The flip-flop 11 is set when the skip instruction is decoded and the conditions assigned by said skip instruction hold.
