Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent processing time from taking longer than required by inhibiting execution of a microinstruction when it is deviced to be the same kind as that of the previously processed instruction and assigning the address of the next instruction. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that a skip instruction is read out to a command register 2. This sets the logic level of an instruction assignment line 7 at ''1''. Further, the part assigning skip conditions is supplied to a skip condition select circuit 8, and the condition signal assigned by this skip instruction is selected from various kinds of skip condition signals 9. The condition signal is combined with the signal of the skip instruction assignment line 7 by using an AND circuit 10, and is applied to a flip-flop 11. A control circuit 5 advances the content of a program counter 3 by 1 via a program counter control circuit 6 when the processing of the skip instruction is finished. In the next machine cycle, the 1st byte is read out to the instruction register 2.
