Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively remove corrosive compositions produced in the primary pipings or the like of an atomic reactor by packing microspherical filter media of magnetic metal forming magnetite films in a pressure vessel and disposing solenoid coils on the outside circumference of the pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION:On-off valves 12, 14 on backwashing water side are fully closed, and on-off valves 11, 13 of a raw liquid feed pipe 7 and a treated liquid discharge pipe 9 are fully opened; at the same time, in the state that filter media 3 are held energized by conducting electricity to solenoid coils 4, filtered water is fed through the pipe 7. As a result, the dispersed solids which exist in the filtered water and of which the greater part consist of Fe3O4 or alpha-Fe2O3 are magnetized and are adsorbed on the surfaces of the filter media 3. On the other hand, Co ions are captured by the magnetite on the surfaces of the filter media 3, whereby the impurities in the filter water are collectively removed.
