Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the capturing efficiency of magnetic particles and ease washing and regenerating by constituting a magnetic filter by porous material of iron-base amorphous alloy or the lamination structure of said material and porous non-magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:In the apparatus which is built in with the magnetic filter and separates magentic particles from the solution to be treated containing magnetic particles, said magnetic filter is constituted by porous material of iron-base amorphous alloy material such as Fe and Ni. This apparatus is superior in corrosion resistance and since its coercive force is smaller than that of crystalline material, the washing and regenerating are easy. To prevent magnetic shortcircuiting and improve separating efficiency, the lamination structure comprising alternately superposing the magetic filter of the abovementioned iron-base amorphous alloy and the filter composed with porous non-magnetic material such as Ni-Cr-base stainless steel is ideally suited. This apparatus is ideally suited for purification of iron and steel waste water and the boiler water of atomic power plants.
