Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a chromatic signal from being mixed into the black information edge of the original, by matching black edges of read signals due to plural sensors to one another to adjust the pulse width of read signals. CONSTITUTION:Original 1 is irradiated by light source 2, and its optical image is focused onto line-shaped sensors 5 and 6 by focusing lens 3. Line information detected by sensors 5 and 6 are outputted successively in time series by clock pulses from clock generating circuit 7 and are amplified by amplifying circuits 8 and 9 and are made binary by comparators 10 and 11. The signal of a long wavelength is latched in D type flip flop 12 and is inputted to delay circuit 13 consisting of the shift register. In respect to the signal of a long wavelength, logical OR between the signal of flip flop 12 and the signal of delay circuit 13 is formed by the OR circuit, and the pulse width is extended.
