Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature rise of a superconductive coil in which a cooling passage is formed at a spool by molding the coil with synthetic resin by enclosing the outer periphery of the cooling passage with a thermal conductor. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive coil 1 is integrally impregnated with synthetic resin such as epoxy resin or the like and is fixed together with a spool 2 surrounding the outer periphery of the coil 1, and a cooling passage 3 is formed at the spool 2. This spool 2 and the passage 3 are formed of high strength member such as stainless steel or the like. A thermal conductor 6 such as an aluminum plate or a copper plate or the like is intimately secured by a welding or a bolt clamping to the outer periphery of the spool 2 and the passage 3. The heat generated from the coil 1 is transmitted to a freezing medium flowing through the passage 3 provided at the spool 2 to cool the coil 1. The heat and electromagnetic wave introduced from the exterior to the coil 1 are absorbed by the thermal conductor 6 and are transmitted to the freezing medium flowing through the passage 3 in the form of the heat to perform cooling.
