Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the best use of solar heat by a method wherein a heat radiating means is provided at the condensing section of the heat pipe located in the room side part of the heat exchanger so that heat is transferred into the room from outside.
CONSTITUTION: A solar heat receiving means 7 is attached close to the evaporation section 3 of the heat pipe 6 of the heat exchanger while the heat radiating means 8 is attached close to the condensing section 5 of the heat pipe on the room side. When the evaporation section 3 is heated by solar heat and the operation liquid in the heat pipe evaporates, the vapor of the liquid passes through the partition wall 1 of the heat exchanger and reaches the condensing section 5 where it is cooled to become the operation liquid again due to heat radiation. Thus, the operation liquid flows through the wick in the inner wall of the heat pipe 6 and returns to the evaporation section 3.
