Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the generation of an incondensable gas in the heat pipe due to corrosion by sealing into the pipe water containing ethylene diamin tetra-sodium acetate salt. CONSTITUTION:In case the heat pipe uses water as an operation liquid, a hydrogen gas as an incondensable gas generates within the heat pipe due to corrosion which deteriorates the efficiency of the heat pipe. To prevent this, an aquaous liquid containing ethylene diamin tetra-sodium acetate salt adjusted to a pH of 7-9.5 is used as an operation liquid. As a result, the generation of the hydrogen gas from carbon steel can be controlled and the use of carbon steel as a pipe material is made possible.
