Abstract
PURPOSE: To generate methane gas while maintaining a fermentation temperature at a stable level of a long time, by surrounding a methane gas generating vessel with a heat regenerator to maintain a temperature inside the methane gas generating vessel in a predetermined temperature range.
CONSTITUTION: A heat regenerator contained in a warmth keeping part 1a of a methane gas generating vessel 1, sufficiently absorbs a solar heat during a day. The energy accumulated in the regenerator during a day is discharged and transfered to the methane gas generating vessel 1 to keep the temperature inside the vessel 1 at a level, e.g. about 37°C or 50°C, necessary for fermentation to generate methane gas, in case where the atmospheric temperature descends during a night. Consequently, the vessel 1 can be kept at a fermentation temperature suitable for generation of methane gas even at night or in the winter. Garbages from a kitchin, catteles' droppings, etc. are supplementally fed as a nutritious source through a conduit 2 to the generating vessel 1. The generated methane gas is accumulated in a gas pressure control tank 3. As for the heat regenerator, Ca(NO3)2.4H2O, Ba (OH)2. 8H2O, etc. may be used for example.
