Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the motor compact and prevent sparks or the like, by providing an electrode inside cylindrical commutator segments, insulating the electrode from the commutator segments and connecting constant-voltage diodes between the electrode and the commutator segments. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 3, which is insulated by an insulating cylinder 4 from cylindrical commutator segments 2 which are insulated from one another by slits 6, is provided inside the commutator segments. One end of the constant-voltage diode 11, which acts as a surge absorber, is connected to each commutator segment 2. The other ends of the diodes are jointly connected to the electrode 3. According to this constitution, a surge voltage at the time of the completion of the commutation of coils 10 pvorided around a core 9 does not exceeds the Zener voltage of the constant-voltage diodes 11. This results in preventing sparks and arcs.
