Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure desired ion concn. highly accurately by using a semiconductor ion sensor for reference electrode having roughly the same temp. characteristics as those of a semiconductor ion sensor for measurment as a reference electrode. CONSTITUTION:A semicoductor ion sensor 23 for measurment which selectively senses the ions to be measured is disposed by being immersed in the specimen liquid 22 housed in the 1st vessel 21 in a manner that a common gate part contacts the liquid 22. The 2nd vessel 24 is provided in the 1st vessel 21 by being immersed in the liquid 22, and internal liquid 25 is housed in this vessel. Also, a semiconductor sensor 26 for reference electrode having roughly the same temp. characteristics as the temp. characteristics of the sensor 23 is provided in a manner that the gate part contacts the internal liquid 25. Since the sensor 23 and the sensor 26 are respectively driven by constant current, the desired ion concn. in the liquid 22 is measured by operation from the difference in the output voltages of the sensor 23 and the sensor 26 taken out through an operational amplifier 31.
