Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a light mutliplexing equipment which is stable and high in multiplicity, by converting a light beam of one laser to a light beam having a lot of wave length which is obtained by means of mode synchronization. CONSTITUTION:In a mode synchronization laser 1, the frequency interval and the light beam intensity are made stable by providing an electric signal having frequency being equal to the longitudinal mode interval, to the phase modulator by the external oscillator 5. A radiation light beam from the mode synchronization laser 1 is made to branch to the light paths which are varied depending on each mode. A light beam which has been made to branch to each light path is input to each of the saturation light amplifiers 7-1-7-n, and is raised to a power level which is equal to (n) channel, too. An output from the saturation light amplifier 7 is made to pass through each light modulator 3-1-3-n, and a base band signal is superposed. In this case, each light modulator is driven by each corresponding light modulator driving device 6-1-6-n. The radiation light beams from the light modulators are collected to one light path by the light synthesizer 4.
