Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the negative segregation in an ingot and the segregation in the central part, and reduce strain aging embrittleness during working by subjecting residual molten steel to electromagnetic induction stirring in the magnetic field induced by the AC of specific frequencies and specific magnetic flux densities. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel having beforehand been subjected to cleaning treatment in a converter or ladle is charged together with flux with an immersion nozzle into a mold, and it is continuously drawn out in the downward direction of the mold under non-oxidative casting.
