Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure static stir in duct of mutual soluble liquid, by providing a liquid inlet placed perpendicularly and eccentrically to a pipe consisting a stirrer so as to give whirling and eddying motion to the liquid and by installing pitched paddles and orifice plates, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The left end of a pipe 1 is closed with a flange 2 and the right side forms a liquid outlet 3. A liquid inlet pipe 4 is installed perpendicularly and properly excentrically to the pipe 1. When a mixed liquid flows in from the liquid inlet pipe 4, the flow inertia produces a whirling and turbulent flow which passes into the lower course. A shaft 7 is installed along its axis in the pipe 1. Four blade- pitched paddles 5 and 5a and orifice plates having large and small bores are fastened alternately to the shaft 7 at an interval. This construction produces the direction change of a whirling flow and location switching by the pitched paddles 5 and 5a and the turbulent flow caused by velocity changes by the orifice plates 6 and 6a, and geometrical effects of the above 2 cases stirrs the liquid statically.
