Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit detection irrespectively of the number of revolutions by changing the pulse width of the reference voltage correcting signal generated according to knocking signal by the number of revolutions of the engine. CONSTITUTION:The output of a vibration sensor 1 is removed of noise components by a filter 2, and only the engine vibration signal is supplied via an amplifier 3 to a comparator 6. On the other hand, the output of a reference voltage generating circuit 4 to which the correction signal from a reference voltage correcting circuit 7 is being applied is supplied via an amplifier 5 to the comparator 6. Here, the circuit 7 changes the pulse width of the correction signal generated according to the knocking signal detected by the comparator 6 by means of the number of revolutions of the engine. Hence, despite the increase in the number of revolutions of the engine, the drop in the reference voltage from the circuit 4 does not occur. In this way, the knocking signal is detected irrespectively of the number of revolutions of the engine.
