Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent overflowing by recovered ink by generating an alarm even when the ink level in a tank rises too much in an ink jet recorder. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical body 20 has upper, lower stoppers 20a, 20b, and a float 21 having permanent magnets 21a, 21b is provided on the outer side thereof vertically movably in follow up to the ink level. A lead switch 22 and a lead wire 23 are provided on the inner side, and the switch 22 is made when the permanent magnet 21a or 21b approaches the switch 22. Hence, the permissible range of the ink level is roughly equal to the interpitch distance P between the magnets. Between A and B, the switch 22 breaks and when the level rises to >=A or lowers to <=B, the switch 22 makes, and an alarm is generated.
