Abstract
PURPOSE: To operate the air conditioner from a remote position at a high efficiency by installing a receiver at the secondary side inlet of a water versus coolant heat exchanger and a transmitter at the fan coil unit outlet, and controlling the operation of a chiller by a signal from the latter side.
CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic receiver 13 is installed at the secondary side inlet of a water versus coolant heat exchanger 5, and ultrasonic transmitter 12A and 12B at the outlet side water pipelines of fan coil units 10A and 10B. At the time of cooling operation, a four-way change-over valve 6 is changed over towards the direction indicated by solid lins, and a heat source side heat exchanger 3 becomes a condenser and a heat exchanger 5 becomes an evaporator. Cold water is supplied to units 10A and 10B, and at the time of heating operation, the change-over value is changed over towards the direction indicated by broken line, the heat exchanger 5 becomes a condenser, and hot water is supplied to the units 10A and 10B. When the switch of the unit 12 is turned on at the request of air conditioning in the room where the unit 12 is installed, the transmitter 12A operates and reaches the receiver 13 via the water pipeline 9, and signal is sent to a controller 14 to start a pump 8, a blower 15 and a compressor 2.
