Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the stability of the output voltage from a power source circuit with respect to the variation in a load by connecting a voltage dependency nonlinear circuit in parallel with a resistor connected to the emitter of a transistor. CONSTITUTION:The emitter equivalent resistance Ze between the emitter and the earth of a transistor 6 can be represented by: Ze=(R1R2+R1VD/Ie)/(R1+R2) where the resistances of the resistors 7, 16 are represented by R1, R2 the forward voltage drop of the diode 15 is represented by VD and the emitter current is represented by Ie. When the Ie is small, the Ze is equal to the R1. As the Ie becomes higher, the Ze approaches the parallel resistance of the R1 and the R2. When the load 14 increase so that the collector current of the transistor 6 increases, the equivalent resistance of the emitter circuit network is reduced to increase the collector output voltage. Thus, it can largely reduce the variation in the output voltage with respect to the variation in the load to improve the stability of the output voltage from the power source circuit.
