Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the negative electrode of an alkaline battery to be evenly filled with its active material, by weighing and pouring a mixture powder consisting of zinc powder, a sizing material and a given amount of a stearate in either a battery case or a sacklike separator, before electrolyte is poured into the mixture powder. CONSTITUTION:Zinc powder, a sizing material powder, and below 1% by weight to the former zinc powder of a stearate are mixed. The mixture is weighed and put in either a battery case or a sacklike separator. Following that, an alkaline electrolyte is poured into the mixture to make the mixture to be gelatinized, thus a negative agent consisting of a gellike electrolyte and zinc powder dispersed in the electrolyte being obtained.
