Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect an error signal accurately and stably by emphasizing the low- frequency side of a signal reproduced from an optical recording body by suppressing its high-frequency side and then by detecting the error signal. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced signal from photodetector 4 is passed through amplifier 5 and then branched into two; one is inputted direct to error signal compensating circuit 10, and the other is passed through an amplifier and then inputted to low-pass filter 7, whose output is compared with threshold level 9 by comparator 8 to control error signal compensating circuit 10. Thus, an error signal existing a lower frequency band than the frequency of the information signal can securely be compensated.
