Abstract

PURPOSE:To render structure simple and conveyance smooth, by providing conveying means with a soft contactor for abutting on a sheet, an electrode for abutting on this contactor, and a power supply means for supplying power to this electrode. CONSTITUTION:Conveying belt 22 is stretched between conveying rollers 20, 21, and moves in the arrow direction. This belt 22 consists of electrode band 23 and cloth 24 bonded with the surface of band 23 as a contactor. Band 23 is kept at a resistivity value (10<5>-10<7>OMEGAcm) lower than that of cloth 24, and cloth 24 is made of velveteen. 1,000V AC voltage is applied to belt 22 via the first conveying roller 20, thus permitting the sheet to be destaticized during its running, a destaticizing brush to be unnecessary, structure to be simple, and conveyance to be smooth.
