Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent wrinkles in transfer material and deformation of a transferred image, by conveying the transfer material with tension applied to it in the direction lateral to the transfer material conveyance direction. CONSTITUTION:Five conveyor belts 4 are stretched about pulleys 5, 6 for recirculating belts 4 by rotating in the arrow direction. Each belts 4 has holes 16 for sucking air by rotation of a fan in order to bring transfer material P into close contact with the belt face. Transfer material P kept in contact with belts 4 is conveyed to fixing pair of rollers 9, 10. Belts 4 are directed somewhat outward in the advancing direction, so material P is conveyed gradually undergoing laterally outward tension, thus wrinkles to be prevented.
