Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an insulated wire in which appearance and flexibility are remarkably improved by high-speed production, by a method wherein a phenolic resin and an amino resin are added to a polyamide-imide resin, and the resulting resin compsn. is baked on a conductor.
CONSTITUTION: 1.00 Equivalent polycarboxylic acid contg. acid anhydride group (e.g. trimellitic anhydride), 0.01W0.30 equivalents polyisocyanate contg. isocyanurate ring (e.g. a compd. obtd. from 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate), 0.80W1.50 equivalents of the sum of an arom. diisocyanate (e.g. 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate) and a polyisocyanate contg. isocyanurate ring, and 0.30W0.90 equivalents lactam (e.g. ε-caprolactam) are reacted together in a cresol solvent to produce a polyamide-imide resin. 0.1W15pts.wt. phenolic resin and 0.1W15pts.wt. amino resin are incorporated into 100pts.wt. said polyamide-imide resin to obtain a polyamide- imide resin compsn. which is then baked on a conductor to produce the desired insulated wire.
