Abstract

PURPOSE: The reaction between a polyisocyanate containing isocyanurate ring and a carboxylic acid containing acid anhydride group to produce a high heat-resistant and relatively inexpensive polyamideimide for electrically insulating material.
CONSTITUTION: The reaction between a polyisocyanate containing isocyanurate ring and a carboxylic acid containing acid anhydride group, when necessary, along with other isocyanates, is effected. The polyisocyanate containing isocyanurate ring is, e.g., prepared from 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, tolylene diisocyanate, or xylene diisocyanate. Other isocyanate used when necessary is, e.g., ethane 1,2- diisocyanate, trans-vinylene diisocyanate, etc.
