Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a sintered nitride alloy having high resistance to high loads, excellent wear resistance during the sliding process, and excellent baking seizure resistance by a method in which when an iron alloy powder containing Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, and V is molded and sintered, C is solutionized, and then the ion alloy powder is subjected to a nitriding treatment. CONSTITUTION:A mixture containing <=1.0wt% Si, <=1.0wt% Mn, 0.50-3.0wt% Cr, 0.50-2.0wt% Mo, 0.10-0.70wt% V, and Fe and inevitable impurities is melted and converted it into an alloy, and then the alloy is pulverized. When the iron alloy powder is molded and sintered, 0.10-0.25wt% C is solutionized, and then the iron alloy powder is subjected to a nitriding treatment to harden its surface portion and at the same time to age-harden the alloy itself. Thus, the parts of sintered nitride alloy can be manufactured.
