Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled device used in a rotating condition with a high performance by a method wherein a working fluid is sealed in a double-wall pipe provided with a spiral passage for the fluid between an outer pipe and an inner pipe both ends of which are opened in the outer pipe.
CONSTITUTION: When a vessel 1 is rotated, the working fluid in the space between the outer pipe 2 and the inner pipe 5 is progressively fed toward an end plate 3 on one side by a spiral member 4, then it flows into the inner pipe 5 through a gap 6 and an outflow-inflow port 5a and is returned into the space between the pipes 2, 5 at the other end after passing through the inner pipe 5. Therefore, by setting one end to be a heating source and the other to be a cooling source, heat transfer by the convection of the fluid takes place. Accordingly, since the heat transfer is accomplished by other means than boiling and condensation, it is not affected by noncondensing gases or the like and a heat transfer device having a high heat- transferring performane can be obtained.
