Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent excessive turbulence in pipes and decrease head loss by providing baffle plates in the upper part of a propeller to prevent air suction into the liquid and projecting inclined flow rectifying plates to the dischage part to rectify discharge flow. CONSTITUTION:Plural upper baffle plates 10 or side baffle plates are provided in the upper part of a propeller 7 or the like provided in the cylindrical body 3 of an external circulating device to prevent the vortex turning flow of liquid and suction of air into the liquid. Also, plural sheets of flow rectifying plates 11 having a suitable angle alpha of inclination are projected to the discharge part of the propeller 7 to prevent the excessive turbulence in the pipe connected to the cylindrical body 3. Thereby, the energy of the discharge flow is converted to effective agitating flow, thus circulating the liquid in the tank. The wetting parts of the inside of cylindrical body 3 etc. are lined by corrosion-preventive or insulating materials, so as to permit handling of various kinds of treating liquids.
