Abstract

PURPOSE: To rationalize an ozone feeding apparatus provided with an ozonizer and an ozone adsorbing and desorbing tower and to enable the apparatus to be manufactured inexpensively by placing a heat transfer section for heating in the tower.
CONSTITUTION: In an intermittently ozone feeding apparatus composed essentially of an ozonizer and an adsorbing and desorbing tower which is cooled during the adsorption of ozone and heated during the desorption of ozone, the area of a heat transfer section for cooling the tower is made larger than that of a heat transfer section for heating the tower. For example, coil 2-6 as a pass for warm brine is installed in ozone adsorbent 2-1-packed internal tube 2-2 of the adsorbing and desorbing tower so that adsorbent 2-1 is heated in a short time through the heat transfer sections of both coil 2-6 and tube 2-2 when the tower is heated to release ozone. The area of the heat transfer section for cooling not required to cool the tower in a short time is made smaller. Thus, the design of the tower is rationalized.
