Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate an operation and completely desorb the adsorbed moisture and CO2 by a return gas, by a method wherein raw air and a return gas are brought into heat exchange with each other at the preceding stage of an adsorber, and the adsorbing temperature for moisture and CO2 gas is made to be equal to the desorbing temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The compressed raw air is fed into a heat exchanger 17 through a pipe 16, then it is cooled to about 30°C and is fed into one of the desorbers 1, 1' through a pipe 2 and a change-over valve 3, 4. In the adsorber, the moisture and CO2 are removed by desorption, and the raw air is fed to cooling and rectifying steps through a pipe 5, 6, and a pipe 7. On the other hand, the return gas at a temperature of about 20°C separated by the rectifying step is fed into the heat exchanger 17 via a pipe 9, is heated to about 30°C through the head exchange with the raw air and is introduced into the adsorber 1, 1' through a pipe 18 and a check valve 10, 11. In this adsorber, the moisture and CO2 which have been adsorbed are desorbed by the return gas. Accordingly, the adsorption and the desorption are conducted at the equal temperature.
