Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the sulfurization resistance of phosphor copper solder and make the solder inexpansive by adding an adequate amount of Zn to the Cu-P solder alloy. CONSTITUTION:This phosphor copper solder has a composition consisting of 2.5- 8wt% P, 0.5-8wt% Zn with the balance Cu. In place of expansive silver solder with superior sulfurization resistance this phosphor copper solder can be used to connect the end ring and the conductor bar of the equirrel-cage rotor of a squirrel-cage induction motor used in a gaseous sulfur atmosphere of a textile or paper mill, etc.
