Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce an addition amount of a ferrous compound, by separating a geothermal hot fluid to a vapor and a hot water by a gas-liquid separator, adjusting the pH value of the hot water just after the separation to pH 4W6, introducing the pH-adjusted hot water into a flasher to separate a hot water, and adding the ferrous compound to the separated hot water.
CONSTITUTION: A geothermal hot fluid substantially consisting of a vapor and a hot water, which is naturally spouting from a geothermal vapor-collecting well, is introduced to a gas-liquid separation, where the fluid is separated to a vapor and a hot water. After the separation, the hot water is introduced to a flasher, where the hot water is again separated to a vapor and a hot water. In this process, a part of an acid is added to the hot water before introduced into the flasher, to adjust pH of the hot water to 4W6. A ferrous salt and an oxidant are also added to the hot water before introduced into the flasher, to co-precipitate arsenic and ferrous hydroxide from the hot water and to separate the coprecipitation. Consequently, a silica content in a dearsenided sludge is reduce, an amount of the dearsenided sludge is reduced, and an addition amount of a ferrous compound is also reduced.
