CONSTITUTION:When a transfer electric field of - pole is impressed on transfer paper 4 by a transfer charger 7, the toner of + pole on a photosensitive drum 1 is transferred onto the transfer paper 4. When the leading end of the transfer paper 4 contacts a conductive belt 8, it is attracted and separated to a conductive belt 8; at the same time, a paper leading end detecting sensor detects the moment when the transfer paper 4 comes to the separating position and operates a voltage impressing circuit 9 at the predetermined timing from the start of separation, thereby impressing predetermined - pole voltage to the transfer paper 4.
