Abstract
PURPOSE: To equalize the temperature distribution in the circumferential direction of a case, to equalize the deformation of the case, and to prevent the contact of a suction cover and an impeller by generating a flow in the fluid in a chamber formed by the case and the suction cover.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure at a through hole 9A provided in a side wall 2A of the suction cover 2 is lower than the intake pressure. Therefore the fluid in the chamber 8 between the case 1 and the suction cover 2 is sucked to a suction cover intake path 2C via the through hole 9A. While at a through hole 9B provided in an exhausting side wall of the suction cover 2, the flow of the fluid is stopped by a separating plate 2B, and the pressure rises by the amount corresponding to the hynamic pressure. Therefore, the fluid in the suction cover 2 is compressed into the chamber 8 via the through hole 9B. By the flow of said fluid, the fluid having the same temperature flows in the chamber 8, the case 1 is approximately uniformly cooled and the deformation can be equalized.
