Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the velocity of action, by starting a solenoid clutch or brake through AC excitation and switch it to DC excitation as the revolution of a driven or driving shaft reaches a certain rate of voltage of the rated revolution.
CONSTITUTION: A velocity detecting device 6 is composed of a tachometer generator, reference voltage generator and comparator. Rotation of a driven shaft 4 is transmitted through a belt 8 to the tachometer generator and the resulting output is put in the comparator through the reference voltage generator to compare with a voltage a certain rate of voltage corresonding to the rated revolution, for actuating a coil driving circuit 7, if the output is larger than the said voltage. A coil of a contact 12a of the circuit 7 is driven by the output of the detecting device 6.
