Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of heat exchange in small size by mounting V- shaped projecting sections, noses thereof are directed to the upper stream sides, which have openings at projecting ends at the downstream sides, while the upper stream sides thereof are shallow and the downstream sides thereof are deep, between each of the pipes at the fin downstream sides of a fin type heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: V-shaped projecting sections 13 are installed among the pipes 11 of a fin 12, and the height h1 of the projecting sections 13 at the downstream sides is made larger than the height h2 of nose sections 15. According to this constitution, a high-temperature gas current 16 flows from the upper stream side of the fin 12 and is heat-exchanged while one section passes through opening sections 14 at the upper stream ends of the projecting sections 13 at the downstream sides as shown in streamlines 18, is heat-exchanged at the projecting sections 13 at the downstream sides and passes through parallel passage sections 21. The remainder is heat-exchanged on the surfaces of the projecting sections 13 at the donwstream sides as shown in stremalines 19, and passes through the parallel passage sections 21. Thus, a flow of a fluid is completely separated at the opening sections 14, and the performance of heat exchange can be improved.
