Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a period of the titled pressing treatment without fear of degradation by oxidation of the structure in a furnace by providing a heat-resistant cylinder to the inner side of a heater in the furnace chamber and forming an inert gas passage between said cylinder and a heat-insulating outer layer.
CONSTITUTION: An object 12 to be treated in loaded into the furnace chamber 6 in a high-pressure chamber 4, and an inert gas is supplied therein, thence the object is subjected to hydrostatic pressing (HIP) treatment in a high-temp. high-pressure gaseous atmosphere. After the HIP treatment, the inside of the chamber 4 is lowered to predetermined pressure, and a lower plug 2b is lowered, thence the object 12 is removed together with the plug 2b. At this time, an inert gas is supplied little by little through the gas flow hole 3a of the upper plug 2a. This inert gas flows down between a high-pressure cylinder 1 and a heat-insulating outer layer 5, passes through the gas passage 10 between an outer layer 5 and annular member 8 communicating the inside and outside of the outer layer 5, ascends between the outer layer 5 and a heat-resistant cylinder 9 while protecting a heater 7, enters the inner side of the cylinder 9 and is exhausted to the outside. In this way, the high-temp. removal of the object 12 to be treated is made feasible and the HIP cycle is reduced.
