Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply a perfect lining to all over the surface of a sheet material, by pressing the front and back thin lining sheets applied to front and back surfaces of a sheet material possessing an open hole pierced in the thickness direction so as to mutually tight contact inside the open hole, and by piercing a hole in the tight contacting part of the lining sheets inside the open hole, after applying a seam welding to both of thin lining sheets.
CONSTITUTION: The titanium thin sheets 3a, 3b are applied to front and back surfaces of a steel sheet 1 possessing open holes 2 pierced in the thickness direction; a press work is then applied to at least either one of thin lining sheets 3a, 3b at the parts covering the open holes 2. Thereby, two thin lining sheets 3a, 3b mutually contact tightly within the open holes 2; there tightly contacting parts are seam welded concentrically to the open holes 2 as shown by the numeral 6, by means of, for example, the spot welding method. Next, a piercing work is applied to the tightly contacting parts. As a result, a perfect lining can be applied to all over the surface of the sheet material 1 possessing open holes pierced in the thickness direction without necessity of any peculiar highly skilled technique.
