Abstract

PURPOSE: To impregnate an anodic oxide film with a sufficient amount of a metal sulfide, by a method wherein after anodizing Al (alloy), an alternate two-solution immersion treatment and a secondary electrolysis in an electrolyte containing a salt of a thio acid of metals as a main constituent are conducted in that order or the reverse order.
CONSTITUTION: The body of Al (alloy) is anodized to form an anodic oxide film thereon. The body is then immersed alternately in an aqueous solution containing dissolved therein at least one selected from the group consisting of ammonium salts, alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts of a thio acid of metals and in an aqueous solution of pH of not greater than 4 containing dissolved therein at least one selected from the group consisting of slats of inorganic acids and those of organic acids, whereby sulfides of various metals are formed in the minute pores of the film. After the alternate immersion treatment, the secondary electrolysis is conduced in the electrolyte containing said salts of a thio acid of metals, thereby efficiently producing metal sulfides in the oxide film. Alternatively, the laternate immersion treatment is conducted after the secondary electrolysis.
