Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of the entire combustion apparatus by producing high temperature high pressure gas from an enclosed combustion chamber, driving a pressurizing and feeding unit with the high pressure energy of the gas and thereby enabling the supply of the gas containing high pressure oxygen without consuming electric power.
CONSTITUTION: A gas turbine 2 is connected to a unit 1 for pressurizing and feeding gas containing combustion oxygen, and the other end of oxygen-containing gas supply conduit 3a connected to the unit 1 is connected to an enclosed combus- tion chamber 5 to which pressurized fuel gas supply conduit 4 is coupled. The combustion gas is burnt at a low equivalent ratio in the combustion chamber 5, and the high temperature and high pressure gas containing oxygen is supplied through a supply conduit 3b to the turbine 2 to drive the turbine 2. The gas used to drive the turbine is then introduced from a supply conduit 3c into a burner 7, and burnt together with the combustion gas from the supply conduit 6 in the state that the quantity of heat per unit time is increased.
