Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the treating efficiency in accordance with the density variation of waste liquid, by filtering the flock by passing it through the storage tank in which condensed flock is deposited, before the waste liquid which contains floating condensed flock, is sent into the settling separation tank.
CONSTITUTION: The flock contained in the waste liquid flowed into storage tank 42 from condensing-agitating tank 40 is captured by the deposited layer of flock, namely filter layer 42a, which has been deposited on the bottom of storage tank 42. Therefore, the waste liquid which passes through filter layer 42a and reaches outlet passage 41 has been filtered by the above mentioned filter layer. When the density of waste liquid is high, the flock thus formed is much in quantity and large in size. In such case, filter layer 42a in storage tank 42 is rapidly increased in thickness, and the deposited flock corresponding to the increased amount is discharged through opened gate 44. When the density of waste liquid is low, gate 44 is closed or the cross-section of opening is reduced in size, and outlet passage 41 works as the main passage of filtered liquid.
