Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate a slurry containing fine particles into a solid and a liquid portion effectively by a mechanism wherein crude particle substances having water passing property are piled conically to form a filter layer and a slurry containing fine particles is passed from a peripheral portion of a conical filter layer successively.
CONSTITUTION: The crude particle substances having water passing property are supplied into a tank main body 1 having a hopper portion at a lower portion thereof from a screw feeder 6 and piled conically to form a filter layer 7. Subsequently, a slurry containing fine particles is continuously flowed downwardly at a constant quantity along a peripheral inner wall of a tank 1 through a ring like pipe 2 having many small openings arranged at an upper peripheral portion within a tank 1 and filtered and dehydrated by a filter layer 7. The filtrate is continuously exhausted from an exhaust port 4 provided at a bottom gate 5 and thereafter a gate 5 is opened to discharge a slurry residue and piled substances to the outside of a tank 1.
