Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform ventilation of small thermal loss in an energy conserving manner by a method wherein two air passages are formed in the building wall by using a heat exchanging and moisture permiating material as a partition member, and a natural circulation is made to take place by the heat exchanger between the indoor air and the outdoor air at said passage part. CONSTITUTION:A through hole or space 2 of proper size is formed at a proper position of a wall 1 dividing the indoor side A and the outdoor side B of a building, and in said space 2, air passages (a) and (b) are provided being formed by surface plates 3 and 3 provided with vent holes 5a and 5b in the upper part and 6a and 6b in the lower part respectively and a partition member 4. When the indoor temperature becomes higher than the outdoor temperature as the result of heating, at the partition member 4, because the air near the partition wall 4 on the side of the air passage (a) has a higher temperature than the air on the side of the air passage (b), the air in the passage (a) and that in the passage (b) are heat-exchanged with each other through the partition member 4 which is a temperature and humidity exchanging member of excellent heat transfer property and moisture permeability. In addition, owing to the air specific gravity difference, the air on the air passage (a) side flows downward, while the air on the air passage (b) side flows upward, so that ventilation is performed.
